Visaka Ind starts production at Sambalpur unit
Visaka Industries has been in the process of setting up a unit for manufacture of Asbestos cement sheets at Parmanpur, Maneswar, Sambalpur district of Orissa.
Further, the company has commenced commercial production in this unit from Jan. 1, 2012.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Jan. 17, 2012, rising 25.69% compared with the Sensex`s 6.29% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 15.25% as against 3.28% fall in the Sensex.
Shares of the company declined Rs 0.65, or 0.84%, to trade at Rs 77.15. The total volume of shares traded was 1,177 at the BSE (12.08 p.m., Wednesday).
