Odisha government to upgrade infrastructre at Budharaja, Ghanteswari attract tourists
The Budharaja hill and the Ghanteswari temple will get facelift as the Odisha government has sanctioned funds for the purpose. The developmental works will be executed by the forest department.
The tourism department has sanctioned the funds but the forest department will execute the work, said divisional forest officer Santosh Banchhor. We will execute the developmental works because both the places come under the forest area, said Banchhor, who informed the forest department will discuss with the development committees before the commencement of the developmental work. Both the places attract tourists from across the state. Tourists from abroad also come here.
During peak season, around five thousand tourists visit Ghanteswari temple regularly. A rest house should be constructed for the tourists near the temple. Moreover, a public toilet is needed for the convenience of the tourists here. If all the amenities are provided to the tourists, then the number of the visitors will also increase, suggested a local resident.
We will give a proposal to the Forest department to construct a road between the Ghanteswari temple and the Bahuti Pitha of the Ghanteswari temple. The Bahuti Pitha is just half km away from the Ghanteswari temple. But this place has great significance, said another resident of Chiplima.
