Train movement hit on Sambalpur section of E. Coast Rly
Train movement on the Sambalpur-Jharsuguda section under the Sambalpur division of the East Coast Railway remained suspended for several hours on Tuesday following derailment of a goods train near Sason station, according to ECoR sorces.
The train was carrying about 3,800 tonnes of thermal coal from the mines at Ib Valley to NTPC’s Kanhia plant.
Three wagons got derailed. Since it is a double line section, it should be possible to resume movement on the single line shortly, according to a spokesman for East Coast Railway.
