Celebrating Kartik Purnima in sambalpur
Today, many people are going to resoiver or river to float lamp of lights by making a miniature boat at early morning. As today is a lunar day, the lunar day of kartika( month November – December ) is very pure as beleived in our culture. In this month of kartika, people worship to lord vishnu in pure mind.
Many stories are there for the Kartik Purnima like some of Munirshi wish to go along with lord Ram Chandra as a woman and God knew this and bless them as they are incarnated as Gopis in the Dwapara Yuga. Kartik Purnima is also known as Rasa Purnmia or Rahaas because in these days God Krshna play Rasa with gopis.
