Bargarh Town Police seizes Aluminium wire worth Rs 3 lakh
In a highest achievement in respect of Aluminium wire theft, Bargarh Town Police has recovered stolen property worth Rs. 3 lakh. On September 10, 2014 at around 8 am, on getting reliable information regarding transportation of All Aluminium Conductor in a pickup van bearing No. OR17G-1026 TATA AC from Bhatli side towards Bargarh town via Village Sanya, the Inspector-in-Charge along with Police Station staffs R.P. Sahu, ASI B.D. Seth and others watched the same vehicle at Haldipali Chhakof Bargarh.
Later Police raiding the party stopped the vehicle at the spot. On verification of the pickup van, 10 quintals of Aluminium Conductor, cutter, hammer, etc. were found from the trolley of the pickup van which was seized with the vehicle and 3 accused persons namely Jahid Hussain (20) of the back side of Rotary Public School Bargarh, Ranjit Dehury (27) of Kaindor, P.S. Redhakhol, Sambalpur district and Anta Bhoi (19) of village Balaikanta, P.S. Charmal, Sambalpur district were nabbed from the spot where whereas another accused Md. Kayum Khan (35) of Redhakhol, Sambalpur district who is the king pin of this managed to escape from the spot. Another co-accused Sanjeev Guru of village Khajuria under Bhatil P.S. was also arrested in this case.
During interrogation, the accused persons admitted to have committed theft of the seized articles of aluminium conductor from Bhatli fidder (weekly market yard) and were proceeding towards Bargarh town to sell it in the aluminium factory of Bargarh town. In this connetion one Sunil Kumar Agrawal (the owner of aluminium factory, Bargarh) has been detained for interrogation. It was ascertained that the absconding accused Kayum Khan is involved in many cases of Sambalpur district. This is under investigation.
