Women’s Inter District Football Match in Bargarh
Jharsuguda and Sambalpur posted massive win in the inaugural match of the 13th Senior Women Inter District Football Championship for PC Behera Trophy-2014 in Bargarh.
In the first match at Sohela, Jharsuguda outplayed Jajpur by 9-1 goals. For Jharsuguda, Satyabati Khadia scored five goals and Purnima Kujjur scored two goals while Kalabati Kachhap and Sunita Toppo scored a goal each.
For Jajpur, Rima Das scored the only goal.
In the second match, Sambalpur blanked Keonjhar by 12-0 goals.
For Sambalpur, Indira Munda scored three goals while and Nandini Munda scored two goals while Subhasini Oram, Lata Khadia, Karisma Oram, Sanjita Toppo, Padmini Suna Rina Oram and Sukanti Barik scored a goal each.
At Padampur, Bolangir got a walkover from Koraput as the latter did not turn up.
Among others, MLA Susanta Singh, Prabhat Aditya Mishra honourary secretary, Bargarh District Athletic Association, Rabi Narayan Panda, vice president, Football Association of Odisha and former minister Prakash Chandra Debta were present at the opening ceremony of the event.
