Three murder case in last 9 days in Sambalpur City, resulting of a quarrel happened between Vijay and Govind for a bike accident.
On Sunday, on the Modipada-Farm Road route, the police were patting their backs and arrested three accused involved in the Bhimsen Guru alias Mitu murder case on the same night that another murder took place in Saxipada area. This time the killers absconded by murdering 20-year-old Vijay Nayak alias Kuni. After the murder, police headaches increased again. Raids are going on in various places in search of the killers.
According to information received in connection with the murder, a relative of Vijay Nayak was injured by a bike accident on Sunday. There was a quarrel between Vijay and Saksipada’s Govid about this. The feud was avenged on Tuesday night by killing Vijay. Vijay Nayak alias Kuni, son of Abhay Nayak, resident of Bansidhar Nagar in Bareipali, came from his bike to Hanuman temple in Saksipada for some work when Govind and his companions broke into Vijay’s bike and attacked Vijay with a sharp weapon. The ghouls escaped after killing.
During interrogation, the Dhanupali police have come to know that Vijay’s family first resided in Saxipada and later after selling their house, the Nayak family moved to Banshidhar Nagar in Bareipali. Due to his old association with Saxipada, Vijay often used to come to Saxipada by bike. At the same time, he was killed due to the tension caused by an accident. The police have also come to know that the main accused in the murder, Govid, is a habitual criminal. He started committing crimes from a very young age. In November last year, when he was caught by Dhanupali police. Then his age was stated to be only 17 years. For this reason, the police did not take any action against him, but this time he has turned adult. In such a situation, it remains to be seen what action the police takes against him this time.
