Human skeleton found from forest in Balangir
A human skeleton has been found in a dense forest in Balangir, after which sensation has spread in the area. It is not known whether it was murder or suicide. Police have recovered the skeleton and are probing the matter. The incident took place in Belbanji forest near Tureikela police station railway station in Balangir district.
According to information, this forest is adjacent to Mahnilah village. On Saturday morning a villager had gone to the forest to graze goats. During this, a man’s skull and spinal bones and a cloth were seen lying inside the forest.
After this, he informed the villagers about the incident, after which this information was given to the police. Police is investigating after reaching the spot. It is not clear whether this male skeleton is the skeleton of a woman or a man. It is feared that some miscreants have killed someone inside the forest and thrown him.
Kantabanji SDPO said that the investigation will proceed after the arrival of the scientific team. Only after investigation it will be clear whether this skeleton is of a man or a woman.
