Bidhu Bhusan Mishra is the new VC of Sambalpur University
Bidhu Bhusan Mishra is the new vice-chancellor of Sambalpur University. On Sunday, the governor Ganeshi Lal appointed Bidhu Bhusan Mishra as the new VC of Sambalpur University.
He is a retired professor of business administration from Utkal University. He has more than 34 years of teaching experience.
He is a good author of having 9 books and contributed many articles to reputed journals.
He has successfully guided one DLitt, 39 PhD and three MPhil scholars. He has been appointed for a period of four years.
Mishra said he will lay emphasis on three major things after taking charge. “I will work to strengthen the academic part. Next is the visit of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) team to Sambalpur University. I need to find out whether the university has submitted required documents before the NAAC or not. If not, I will try to take the accreditation process forward,” Mishra said.
He also said the examination process needs streamlining. “There is complaint regarding delay in exams. I will try to streamline the exam process and publication of results within the deadline,” he added.
